James Lawson

Chief Strategy Officer

James started working in wealth management with UBS in London, New York and Zurich. From there he set up and ran research firm Ledbury Research, whose clients included 15 of the world’s 20 largest investment managers.

Having sold Ledbury to Insight Partners in 2015, James co-founded and was CEO of sustainable wealth manager Tribe Impact Capital. He exited Tribe in 2025. Today, as well as working with Fiske, James is involved in two AI businesses and is a Board Trustee of The Fore, a venture philanthropy fund that aims to turbo-charge the best small charities and social enterprises.

James has a Master’s in Economics and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and IMC designations. He lives in Suffolk with his wife, along with their three children and other animals.

James is part of the Executive team.
